Youth Accounts

Introduce your kids to Fort Billings Federal Credit Union — and the power of saving!

Open a Youth Account (Under Age 17):

  • A minor’s first account (under age 17) will be a custodial Youth Account. Open the account with just a $5 deposit, and demonstrate the healthy habits of savings!
  •  We want to help them save, buy matching the first $5 deposit to see that instant reward!
  • We’ve waived the statement fee so kids can see their money grow before their eyes.

Transition to Independence (Age 17):

  • At age 17, Individuals can come in independently to open a savings account with a $5 deposit and access to Free ATM Card.

Youth Accounts can be converted to a regular savings account as long as the custodial adult on the account and child are present.

It’s an excellent step towards financial independence under the guidance of Fort Billings FCU!

Reaching Adulthood (Age 18):

  • Your child is now ready to open a Checking Account with a free Debit Card allowing them to enjoy full membership benefits and financial education to build a solid financial future!
